Branches of Science


  1. Acoustics : The study of sound (or the science of sound).

 

  1. Aerodynamics : The study of the motion and control of solid bodies like aircraft, missiles, etc., in air.

 

  1. Aeronautics : The science or art of flight.

 

  1. Aeronomy : The study of the earth's upper atmosphere, including its composition, density, temperature and chemical reactions, as recorded by sounding rockets and earth satellites.

 

  1. Agronomy : The science of soil management and the production of field crops.

 

  1. Anatomy : The science dealing with the structure of animals, plants or human body.

 

  1. Anthropology : The science that deals with the origins, physical and cultural development of mankind.

 

  1. Archaeology : The study of antiquities.

 

  1. Biometry : The application of mathematics to the study of living things.

 

  1. Bionics : The study of functions, characteristics and phenomena observed in the living world and the application of this knowledge to the world of machines.

 

  1. Dactylography : The study of fingerprints for the purpose of identification.
